Dr. Jim Guo | Doctor of Chiropractic, Licensed Acupuncturist, Master of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, certified strength & conditioning specialist
Dr. Jim Guo, a chiropractic physician and licensed acupuncturist, has been in practice since 1998. Dr. Guo is a second-generation Chinese medicine practitioner; he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from National University of Health Sciences and his Master’s degree in acupuncture and Oriental medicine from New England School of Acupuncture. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
Specializing in combined acupuncture and chiropractic care, along with dietary modification, Chinese herbal medicine, and individualized strength and conditioning programs, he has developed an effective all-in-one holistic approach to ensure a speedy and lasting recovery for his patients.
In addition to his clinical interests, Dr. Guo also has developed number of natural herbal salves to help his patients for a variety of conditions. All his products are now being carried by Lhasa OMS, the top leading medical supply company for the acupuncture profession in the US.
Emily Bomba | Licensed massage therapist
Emily treats her massage clients as partners in the healing process. She recognizes the body’s intrinsic healing abilities and encourages client’s autonomy over their health and wellbeing. Working closely with Dr. Guo ensures a holistic, integrative approach to client care. ACC practitioners work as a team to facilitate optimal healing.
Emily brings her fascination with anatomy and physiology to the massage table. She developed a passion for working in pain management, seeking to help clients recover from sports and repetitive-use injuries, chronic holding patterns or surgery. She has in-depth training for treating many common conditions, including tension headaches, low back pain, sciatica, shoulder impingement, carpal tunnel, and shin splints. Her treatments incorporate deep tissue, myofascial, and trigger point techniques, as well as passive stretching, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), and thermotherapy.
JoHannah Macbeth | Licensed Acupuncturist
JoHannah Macbeth began her study of the human body propelled by genuine curiosity. The study began with feet. In 2010 she pursued certification in the Ingham Method of Reflexology at the International Institute of Reflexology in Saint Petersburg, Florida with the renowned nephew of Eunice Ingham, Dwight Byers as her primary teacher.
Inspired by the lessons learned from reflexology and a hunger for the study of Anatomy and Physiology, she then pursued a degree in Applied Science from Bristol Community College in 2016. The focus of this degree also included the study of traditional therapeutic massage with Dr. Kimberly Griffith. Advanced manual therapy certifications include myofascial release work, orthopedic and sports massage, pre-natal and postnatal massage with Carol Osborne, as well as Thai Massage with Suriyan Punyafoo in Chiang Mai, Thailand at the Sunshine Massage School.
While maintaining a full massage client load at a private group practice in Providence, Rhode Island and piloting a massage program at CODAC Behavioral Health in Cranston, Rhode Island.
JoHannah’s passion for helping individuals on their journey towards natural healing does not stop with massage, reflexology, or essential oils. As a holistic health enthusiast, she holds credentials as a Certified Natural Health Professional, Certified Nutritional Consultant, and a Master Herbalist from Trinity School of Natural Health in Warsaw, Indiana.
JoHannah enrolled in Roger Williams University to achieve her Bachelors of Science in Community Health in 2018.
Most recently she completed a master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at New England School of Acupuncture in Massachusetts College of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
JoHannah Macbeth is board certified through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine with state licensure secured in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
